FL3X
The Texas State Galleries’ FL3X space invites Texas State Art and Design students, faculty, staff, and alumni to envision and assemble well-considered, visually engaging, and conceptually stimulating exhibitions and events. FL3X programs highlight the unique creative vision of our community and its relevance within the broader art world.
The Call for Proposals occurs once each semester: in March for fall programming and October for spring programming.

juried STUDENT exhibitioN
This annual juried competition celebrates the distinguished work of students enrolled in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University.
The call for the 2026 Juried Student Exhibition is now CLOSED. Students who submitted entries for the 2026 exhibition will be notified of the juror’s decisions by Friday, February 27. For eligibility and submission instructions, visit 2026 Juried Student Exhibition.
The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award
The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award celebrates the achievement of a current Art & Design student at Texas State University. Established in 2022, this award celebrates 1–2 students with a $250 scholarship and the display of the students’ artwork at the President’s residence, where it will be enjoyed by hundreds of distinguished guests throughout the academic year.

Internship
The Texas State Galleries are one of many organizations that students may consider for the Art History Internship Course (ARTH 4325) at Texas State University.
